spelf-  The top I made without a store bought pattern.  I made a pattern by tracing a similar lace shirt that I really liked.
As for the long sleeves- instead of working seed stitch I just continued knitting away (but on small circular needles) working decreases gradually down the sleeve.  I did make notes as I did it ( so my sleeves would match!) and if anyone is interested I can post them. Oh yeah, I used 2 1/4 skeins of yarn!

I REALLY like all your green creations!  And that kind of green goes with just about everything, so what a great chioce for a shrug!

personally, if I am going to be putting on another layer, I think it seems a little odd for it not of have some substantial sleevage.  but, then, I also am pretty self-concious about my squishy upper-arm area.

anyway, bottom line, great job on your 2.25 Skein Wonder.  I, for one, would love the details of how you worked out the decreases.

I love it.  Most of the long-sleeved shrugs out there are too elaborate for my taste, but this is a fabulous basic.  I'd be tempted to modify my OSW if I thought I had enough yarn for sleeves... You don't happen to know how many grams or ounces of yarn you used, do you?  I think I have like 1.5 oz. left over from mine - could be enough for 3/4 sleeves...

I am working on the OSW right now and love your modifications.  I was thinking of working the sleeves just a bit longer but was too chicken.  Thanks for inspiring me to go for it!

kathyruth: thanks for adding the sleeve-structions.  I may have to follow them one day soon.  also, I just wanted to compliment you on how clear they are, including adding the stitch counts and everything.  very helpful.

I finished mine for the Ongoing Stuff I can Make round 2 swap.  About a day later, I received another request for one!
I did not use the smaller circular needles for the sleeves, though.  I chose dbl ptd needles.
This was made with Cascade 220 yarn.
