foufigirl, how do you keep the paint on the fabric from cracking?  Is it a special paint?  The kitty is adorable!!

hey thanks everybody! i had so much fun doing this!! Smiley
as far as the paint goes, i just use regular acrylic and then apply a couple of coats of clear water-based varnish on top. it seems to work just fine!
one thing i learned tho' is that it works much better if you sew the pouch together *before* you paint it, as turning the canvas out causes all the cracking problems!! ugh! (i learned that the hard way!)

I'm not sure if these are going to work

okay it worked! I posted my first pictures!!

That is the pouch that I sent to boygirlparty, she's received it so I'm not ruining the surprise, you should all check out her sites - she has the coolest stuff, and you can listen to her music (SNOOZER) from her website, its incredible stuff.

okay the pouch is blue cordroy, with orange flower buttons and green embroidery for stems, the lining is this silky striped fabric.  Inside I added some goodies - fall colored leaf stickers, puffy stickers that had icecreams in the package, some duckie erasers, a shell pendant, and a cell phone charm that can be used as a zipper pull, and the owl is a stamp that I carved for boygirlparty based on an owl image that I found on her website, I used speedball rubber and an exacto knife, the imaged on the back of the stamp is from the actual stamp.

My partner has received her pouch.
To take up less space here on craftster, this is a link to my personal website where I put up a whole page for the pouch.

This was a fun swap.
I love seeing what everyone made.
