Beanie with visor??

Does anyone know how to make a visor on a beanie like this one:


Do you use cardboard in it??Any help on how to make the visor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I made one awhile back and I used that plastic grid stuff for cross-stitching. It worked great and would hold up better than cardboard. Good luck.
