With shorter sleeves.  I used merino wool salvaged from a goodwill sweater and dyed with kool aid.  I had a SNB pal cast on the dreaded 134 stitches!!!

You did an awesome job. Smiley The color looks good on you, and the stitch detailing looks very professional. Was it hard to do?

twas super easy - there are no in/decreases in the back - it is just the way the ribbing stretches.  It is all just 1x1 ribbing.

Wow great job Mayviss . Grin I really like the shortened version better. If you don't mind what is the length of your version from cuff to cuff. Thanks so much for your help and for posting this. Grin

It was 25"
Which month is it from? Hopefully the current one, because I want to make one myself!

It was from the free online patterns that came out a month or two ago.  There were several shrugs featured and this was the first one listed.

That looks really nice.  The ruffle is a cute little detail that sets it apart from a lot of the shrugs.
Also, please tell your casting-on friend that I have some things she can work on, you know, if she's bored...

I just finished Mayviss' shortened version of this shrug and I love it. I made mine from Bernat cottontots, so it is a little heavy, but it has great movement. I don't have a digital camera, but if I can borrow my brother's I will post a picture.
