Chalk, measuring tape, seam ripper (I have two!), scissors, pins (with magnet) and tape - which I use to mark the seam guide on my machine, etc.

I think I own about ten seam rippers, bought an spare bobbin casing too because it is not the kind of thing that you tend to loose, but if you did, then you can do nothing without it...apart from that I have spares of everything, because I have a genius for sitting in one spot sewing, putting something down and it vanishes...sewing gremlins I am sure
