OK, I have been working on the Saxon Braid scarf from Knitting on the Edge...for about 8 months now on and off.  I worked it in Cascade 220 on size 10 needles.

Ridiculously easy pattern....(make sure you get the errata)....

Here is a close-up of the cables

Here is how the rows looked BEFORE dropping the stitches to create the self-fringe:

Here are two pictures of the actual fringing

Final of fringe -- bear in mind I don't dig the squiggly fringe...it will be steamed out when blocked.

That looks great. I'd love to see a pic of the whole thing after you've blocked.

Thanks for all the compliments.  My toddler loves the scarf so it looks like I will be making her a shorter version...=)

The self-fringing is sooo nice and easy.

That looks sooo good! I really like that pattern and you've done a nice job. I almost bought that book last weekend, and now I'm kind of regretting it.

Thanks!

It is a FABU book....few projects but a lot of inspriation in the stitches, to be sure.  I have used stitches out of that book for a baby sweater and am designing a pair of socks from a pattern in there.
