I was inspired by my friend Deborah Merlo's mehndi tube top (http://www.deborahmerlo.com/diy/archives/000168.html) to create these rockin jeans!  You can find free patterns at http://www.hennapage.com.

What you'll need:

One pair of jeans, cardboard (I used postoffice envelopes because they were the perfect size), Clorox bleach pen (I used almost two) and a design.  You can find bleach pens in the detergent aisle.

With the bleach pen, trace your design on the jeans.  Let sit for about 20 minutes then rinse.  Finish the other leg--or don't!  I predict I'll be seeing a lot of bleach pen designs in the future!  This is such an easy project and the final product is awesome!

The finished project above just rinsed.

AWESOME!  I've been dying to embellish some jeans and you have inspired me!

Very nice! I like the top of your friend too! I'd make one myself, but haven't got a clue on where to find a bleachpen here in europe, never seen them before!

cute ..I have had luck with the gel bleach cleaners and you get more for a cheaper price, I just wet a sponge in a dish and used it like a ink pad, to stamp designs with.

Love. It. Smiley I may just have to do this...I've been itching to cause some damage ever since I bought my bleach pen for actual stain removal! This is a great idea.
