Ahhh...... the fair. It's a place I no longer have to be. And I so do miss those carnies. Why was I there? 4H. Being there all week gave me the chance to look at all the vendor crap, too. But on the last day, while my little one was on the kiddie rides, I saw someone with actual crafts. CRAFTS, I tell you. One was a water bottle holder openly "woven" out of fabric strips. It wasn't flimsy. And I liked it. I didn't see and stitching, either, so i don't think sewing was involved. Of course, I didn't buy one, because I figured someone might know how to make one. And besides, I've been trying to knit one with out any luck. So, I must end this uber-long post. Sorry I ramble.

Now get craftin'!

No...but I am being forced to to to the county fair all this week, and the same for until I'm out of my first year of college! Cos I have goats. Bluh. But crafts? The only crafts we get are creepy crochet barbie clothes and hot loops potholders. Lucky.

I'm a liar though, i do enjoy the fair--but i don't have money and my dad won't pay for tickets for rides. Roor!

a moment of silence, please, for those who never had the chance, they show up to a partybut they're never asked to dance, the losers, the liars, the bastards, the theives, the cynicists, the pessimists, and those who don't believe in nothing...

When my daughter's girl scout troop went to the zoo, I made water-bottle holders out of fabric strips for myself and the girls in the group I chaperoned... But actually I just cut a 2 inch wide strip of fabric that was 36" long or whatever the fabric was, and tied it around the bottle and then tied it at the top so it was like a purse strap with a water bottle attached. Totally disposable at the end of the day, when we dragged our tired selves and all our gear back to the bus...
