This is a mini tote I made for my friend’s birthday this week.  Her favorite color is purple, she has a funky/girly style mixed with a sprinkle of goth, her screen name is “Le Purrs”, and she adores cats.  I tried my best to incorporate all of these factors into a bag, and apparently did well because she won’t stop telling me how well it “fits” her  Cheesy  I'm glad she likes it.

The outside: I added a removable bow and a little beaded collar to the kitty which is felt that I hand sewn onto the bag...

The inside...

I used heavy sew-in interfacing in the bag and handles, and placed a piece of 3/4 inch thick foam in the bottom to give it a nice tailored shape even when there's stuff inside the bag, and to give it squishy yet sturdy support.

I might have to try that!  I don't use a lot of fusible interfacing because it just seems quicker and easier for me to just pin the sew-in stuff to my fabric and sew away.  I guess fusible wouldn't be bad for my less complicated bags such as this one though.
