born of c-section: crafting her way out of womb

I had originally designed my Batman and Robin years ago while watching the 60s Batman TV series movie with some friends. Their designs have mostly remained the same, but with some tweaking throughout the years. I had given my boyfriend some smaller designs I had done for a coloring zine, and wanted to remake them larger for him, since they really didn't fit in the frames he had. Here they are:

We had a frame that needed artwork in it, and I figured out that 5 6X9s would fit perfectly in the frame. On my project to-do list was Batman and Robin, but I've been wanting to draw the other characters as well. I based Catwoman on Eartha Kitt because she is my favorite!! <3

Here is a before picture...

and here's a close-up shot of all of them together! Smiley

As always, I use watercolors, crayons, sharpie and sakura gelly roll.

Here's a bonus shot of Robin's teefs! I designed them to resemble the Bat Symbol. :3

These are so fun! I like the style, and the characters all look great. It's too funny that Robin's teeth make the Bat symbol. I would have never noticed! Tongue

Aw, thanks! My art style has gone through many evolutions, but I really enjoy the process of making it and the end result always surprises me!

I'm getting to the point where I basically want to draw everything. There are a lot of great characters out there, and it's fun to try to figure out how to draw them. Smiley
