How many stamps would it take to post an ordinary 1 page (light) letter to the usa, germany and canada?

Thanks- it saves me going to the post office which is miles away

I always just stick on the amount using 1st class stamps and write airmail on both sides of the envelope.

Ooh! Thanks, I shoulda thought of that I was looking at the post office site (which was confusing and kept offering me home insurance???) rather than the royal mail one.
