Hey i just finished this dress, which is the first dress I've made since I made a dress in my "learn how to sew class" so I went into it kinda assuming it wouldn't turn out, and now I'm loving it!

I made it with clearance satinfinished fabric at Joann's 2.20 a yard for 3 yards.  ( That's 6.60)
I used Simplicity pattern 4998

Iit actually does good for my figure...but my figure loosing 5 lbs would make the dress perfect.

I LOVE it, simply gorgeous!  And you're right, that style of dress is great for your figure.  I love how shiny the fabric is too ^_^

That dress absolutely does look wonderful on you.  You should really keep sewing more like it.  It seems like girls don't really wear dresses casually anymore (or maybe it's just where I live that all you see are jeans).  Anyway it looks great on you.  Since you've found a pattern that looks good on you and fits well, you should keep using it...with lots of different fabric.

P.S. those five pounds look great where they are Grin

Okay, first I note the pattern number as I want to make a dress like that for myself for next season...

Second, yes the dress does look good on figures like ours (my figure much similar - except for an additional post-child belly sag that I am working on.

Third, it is lovely and looks awesome on you and you have every reason to be completely proud...

Wink Honey, you look SPECTACULAR is that dress, leave those 5lbs where they are & work it, girlfriend!
You may need to send out a warning to any hot-blooded males wherever you plan to wear it tho, I have a feeling you'll be turning heads in that!
