Hey there,
I recently started out making ACEO/ATC miniatures. I very much enjoy that right now.
I am considering making more.
What kind of subjects do you guys think would be nice? So far I have been doing kitties and trees ^_^ which are usually my favorite subjects in general.  (I adore cats)

These two are the ones that I made recently. I like how they have turned out, especially the green one.

What kind of subjects do you like for ATC cards? (I am curious)
Feel free to share yours if you like Smiley

Both of these are incredibly beautiful!!!!!  I just barely like the second one better, but that is tough to admit cuz I love em both!!  Kitties are always my fave subject.

Thanks both of you!  Grin Happy to read that you like them.

Blupaisan, Cats are one of my fav subjects as well. Next to trees and butterflies.
I am going to work on one with mushrooms and the same red cat, I have been pushing it forward, today but going to start right this second.  Cheesy

You should check out the various ATC swap galleries here. By clicking images only, you can see that ATC's provide opportunities for all sorts of creativity.

There is always an ongoing ATC swap here so the variety is amazing!

I love cats as well, and yours are so cute.  I imagine that you will never run out of ideas if you stick to cats! Grin

And, BTW...ATC's are never sold.  They are only traded among artists.  ACEOs on the other hand, can be duplicated and sold.

So far I failed in making a nice one with mushrooms and a cat, I got into too much detail for such a small space. And just did not have the vision for a nice color scheme. So going to try again today. Just watched tons of watercolor tutorials on youtube, and saw someone using ecocline ink, for the brightest colors. Which is just a very cool idea. I know the ecocline yellow is super bright, so maybe I will try this (hope mines have not dried out, I have not been using them for years)

Alwaysinmyroom,
Ah right, then I guess that they are ACEO's, because I did decide to put them in my shop. Is it still ok that they are here in the ATC topic? I just thought it would be fun to share with others that enjoy doing the same type of things.

And, about never running out of ideas with cats.. true! I think cats will always be a lot of fun to draw. I was thinking I would maybe keep on drawing this red one, in serene and peaceful ways, some cats are just like that. They just always sit in places where they look pretty.
And then create a black or striped one, that is more into adventures. That one will be climbing on things during the night, or chasing things, and be a bit of a playful character. Maybe somewhere in the future I will put them together in one picture, somehow.

Kwality, Thanks!
I used watercolors, a black copic liner pen and a white pilot choose gel pen for the white flowers and highlights. (just love those white gel pens).
Oh, and a red copic marker for the red flowers. It was more bright then my water color version.

Gotgrey, thanks!

oh you are fine posting here!  I was just stating a fact to let those who do not know the difference.  ATC people are pretty vocal about the cards being for trade only.

I also love the white gel pens for highlights..watercolor is my favorite medium and you have done a fabulous job with it!  I know you will be able to do a cat/mushroom!  I do love your ideas on future cat projects!  Yes, you must do a black cat...my black cat is such a troublemaker...not at all a serene cat!
