Well to keep this on topic, I have been watching this thread for a while and living vicariously through you. I do not have a shop, but have been thinking about it, I even have some support from my boyfriend.
bixby2 I am in Tucson now for graduate school, but all you Portlanders I will be going home in about a week!

On the topic of mailmen ...

I have the world's best mail-woman.  Her name is Ruth and she picks up my eBay and Etsy packages at my door everyday (even though I live in a townhome community, where the mailboxes are down in a separate area).  If you haven't used this "Carrier Pickup" service from the Post Office, you really should try it!  As long as you have your postage already on the box, you just go to http://www.usps.com and click on the link to request a carrier pickup.  You do it by like 2 a.m. or something the night before and your carrier will come to your door and pick up your packages.  It's sooooo handy!

And wonderful Ruth is the sweetest thang Smiley  I apologized to her the other day for making her job more difficult.  I seem to have five or six packages every day.  She just smiles from ear to ear and says she loves it, job security and all that.

Later tonight I'm gonna go through & delete all of our recent posts about cute mailguys, cars & shotgun landmarks.  Smiley  We're going down the road of off-topic-ness & ya know how this thread flies by on its own!  If ya want, ya can zap/edit some of your own & I'll do the same...  Wink
