Well, thanks to lusterbunny I am now scrambling to put together a contribution to The Sampler http://www.homeofthesampler.com  Smiley  Thanks for bringing up that site in the etsy forums...what a great way to market yourself!  Is anyone else planning on contributing the the Summer sampler?

The Sampler looks really cool! I'm wondering, though. Do you have to pay to be distributed in the Sampler or no?

BUY THREE ITEMS FOR THE PRICE OF TWO.  Simply purchase three items but only pay for two.  After ordering wait for an updated invoice from me.

I can answer this one, since I was looking at it too! No, you don't pay other than your contributions. If fact, you get a sampler yourself that month! The number you contribute effects the exposure benefit you get on the site. I found this page that has it all listed: http://homeofthesampler.com/contributors/contribute.html

Thanks for bringing it up Kristie! I bookmarked it, although I can't imagine having time to make 25 of something. Not until summer vacation, anyway.

What kind of sample are you going to do?  You'll have to let us know what your sampler was like, and if it helps your sales any! One question: If you do it now, will you get in the MTV award basket? Or do you need 200 to get in that one?? Shocked

I'd participate, but since my biz is mostly baby stuff, I can't really think of 25 or so things I could do to contribute.  25 baby bibs?  25 packs of Tinkle Tents?  I think i'll have to pass on this, but it would sure be cool, especially to receive a sampler box!

I spent quite a bit of time scanning through the sneak peeks to see what sort of things people are including in the sampler...I think I am going to contribute a mixture of stuff:  Handspun yarn samples & a pattern that will correspond with the small amount, several pairs of my baby booties, and several crocheted flower pins made from my handspun yarn.  I may throw in a couple of larger items...ones that have been sitting around in my shop for a while.  I already commissioned my ad & logo through alchemy.  I'm really excited about this!  Since I am contributing to the June one, I won't have my own for awhile.  I'll certainly share pics of what's in it when it comes though!

Grrrr...wanna quit my day job... Wink but how would I pay for more craft supplies  Wink
