Hi folks:

I just listed a cashmere shawl in my hubbys Etsy store: http://fearlessknits.etsy.com   I doubt anyone will really even see it, as his store is pretty much inactive.  We set it up thinking wed list some knit items from time to time, but havent really done much of anything with it.

The shawl is pure cashmere.  Although the price may appear high compared to most Etsy items, its ridiculously inexpensive.  The cashmere alone would retail for close to the price and it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 hours to knit.  Im just listing it because I have no use for it and know Ill never wear it.  I just knit it because I love to knit and wanted to do a cashmere shawl.  Before I give it away as a gift, I thought Id see if anyone is interested in buying it, because then I could break into some more cashmere and knit another without feeling guilty for being so self-indulgent and extravagant Smiley

Anyhow, if you know someone who might be interested in an over-the-top fabulous, one-of-a-kind shawl, please pass the word along!

nice  pendants, i am making stamp ones here with aussie stamps. fun for people to have a moment of somewhere else. those animals ones are great, and very nice art in themselves. good soldering too.

Another question Why do people use pdf instead of just a word document? Couldn't I send the pattern in an email attachment for free?

PDF alows you to stop people from copying the file.  You have the option to lock the file in several ways to prevent people from reproducing and distributing your work.  That is not available with a word file.

Thanks, Believer10! That really was a great post to read and makes me feel better about my beads!. Heh, I guess I better figure out the prices a bit better...I'll go change it. Erk. I hope I don't completely confuse lookers with my fluctuating prices!

Amy, I LOVE those buttons! So awesome. And great advertising too!

I know my Etsy shop really helps pay for all my hobbies that I would spend money on anyway, and it's such a thrill when someone buys something I do. But to be honest, I haven't figured out any of the business side of it: whether I'm making anything an hour, still spending more than I'm taking in, or anything. I know, bad me. I just see if by the end of the month, if I can transfer anything to my checking, to help with bills, although my hope is to be able to put it into a Savings account!

fealess, cashmere is uber luxury!! It's gorgeous, and I KNOW how long it takes to knit that lace...I hope it sells for you!

AND titancia and Sweets4ever are both GEMS and are helping me with my 'biz card'!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
