I just listed my bat earrings.  I'm going to retake the photos when I go home to let the puppy out at lunch. The photos are a little dark because I took them inside. I just wanted to get them up there asap.

hi i have just signed up to craftster, having been a constant spectator on here for ages, i love seeing all the lovely things people can make! through craftster, i have found the wonders of etsy and have posted a few items on there recently. i just wondered if you clever craft peeps could take a second to tell me what you all think of my stuff. BE HONEST! i think i have over priced things especially on overseas shipping so i gotta check my working out on that front! but do you think the items are over priced, i find it so hard to price things cos it all takes sooo long! Thanks guys

my shop is www.kawaiifiveoh.et sy.com

calico -
i LOVE embroidered drawings. love, love, love.  so i like your shop a LOT.  something about your photos seems a little drab to me, i'm almost positive you can get better images of your gorgeous work.  they're clear now, they just don't POP if you know what i mean.
also, email me (i'll PM you my email address) and i'll make you a banner - your shop definitely needs a banner.

but you're off to a great start!
oh! and the easiest thing! when you're logged into your shop, when you're under "your shop" click the three of the little stars next to your listings.  this "features" three items at the top of your shop and makes your shop look nice and full.

[i'm an etsy mentor, so feel free to contact me there, too!]

Welcome back Craft-T-Chic, great to see your grand reopening is underway.

Congrats to PinkyK and so many others for great sales and progress.

Welcome Calico.  What each person charges is so related to their costs and time.   My items take a long time to make too, but I also know my work pace is slow.  Could speed it up, but don't have as much fun that way.  So I don't do by the hour pricing.  Still my hats especially are not priced at a level that lots of people can buy on impulse- although they are actually inexpensive compared to many other custom hats for the materials and work.  I mostly like making them and want a reasonable return without giving away my time and talent.   Don't know if that helps.   Your items are lovely and different, one thing on your felt bracelets, would be helpful to note if you use commercial acrylic felt or wool felt.

Pictures, oh, that is my most difficult part.  Have just revamped a photo station, added the blue lights as suggested by Sweets, a glass shelf- ohh that really helped reduce the shadow.  And read and studied the camera book-- have some improved photos and redid many.  Though still not getting the "pop"  factor.  Neither Photoshop nor Picasa (sp) work with my MAC OS10

Will keep trying.

Just listed this http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=423014

So enjoy following everyone's new listings and trials and successes.

That pin is very pretty, GraceOblivious! Thanks for the welcome back!  Smiley

I just listed this...is it cheesy or cute? I made one for the boy once and he called me a dork. (Yeah, but he still carries it on his work keys, so hmm...who's the dork?)

I think it's cute - and more importantly, I think a guy would actually think it could be cool enough to put on a keychain, so it makes a better gift than something that's just cute. If I had a boyfriend to give a keychain to, I'd buy it!

That's what I thought, likespointysticks! It's such a guy thing....but yet no one has to know the secret message behind it! Cheesy It's also a great fidget kinda thing too for when you don't know what to do with your hands...you can twirl the nuts.

I think it is cute.  My brother (Mr. Fix-it) would probably use it.  But then again he typically carries around a bunch of nuts and bolts anyway!
