i dropped the prices of my three remaining poppy brooches. They're all $3.50 each now. I'm just sorta tired of looking at them  all the time, so there ya go! A sale!

Oh, and if anyone's wondering why my shop is still so empty, i'm making a whole bunch of stuff for an upcoming craft bizaar, so i figure i'll wait until after that and if there's any unsold stuff, i'll list it in my etsy shop.

Ooh, let us know how your craft bazaar goes, cdoggett!
In "how's your etsy shop doing" news, my "mack is back" sale has raised over $70 for the no-kill shelter, and while it may seem like small potatoes, it's a pleasant surprise for me! I don't know if the fact that proceeds were going to charity helped my sales at all, but either way, the kitties will be getting at least $73.50! (And maybe more...the "sale" ends monday...) I might have to make this an ongoing thing...do you guys think 10% seems like a reasonable amount from the proceeds to go to a charity?

My etsy shop is not doing well at all.  Ive been a member for about a month and a half and have made one sale.  I think I may branch off to another craft, like handbags or cards.  Jewelry seems to be a tough seller on etsy. Heres my etsy link :

Oh my goodness, I had my biggest day on Etsy ever.  10 items sold.  It started last night (late) and didn't stop until this afternoon.  All a bunch of coincidences.    Cool, nonetheless

NeffyTee, hang in there.  Here's a couple things I could offer as advice:
1) your avatar and banner are both really blurry, so working on those would be great.  I like the concept of the picture, but can't make anything out.

2) Your pictures are pretty good, but you could probably spice them up a little.

3) Your products are so cute!  Love the tee-shirt--there's  a great niche there for you.  People on Etsy seem to really like that kind of stuff!  It's sort of a cool diversity thing and is just lovely!!!  Even your jewelry looks well made and cute, so that could sell well, too even in a competitive market.  Good prices on those too, which leads me to why you're not getting sales:

4) NOT ENOUGH VIEWS--marketing is huge.  Whatever you can do to market yourself--do it.  Try posting on the forums at Etsy with an item of day and in the threads that are appropriate to you in selling.  I've sold a few items of the day to other sellers, so it's kinda nice.  Smiley

Hang in there!  I like your shop and will keep my eye on it!

that sounds really good I'd defo be more likely to buy things of etsy if I new some of it was going to such a good cause, do most shelters in the u.s put cats & dogs down if they arnt found or re-homed?

I've posted out all my business cards Smiley

Okay. So I posted an item. It hasn't been bought, but it dissapeared from my shop! When I check the bills, it shows that it was listed, but instead of an image, has a gray box. What on earth has happened?

ETA: I refreshed the page, and now it's back. But it doesn't have the pictures that I took. *Grump*

Javastain, is the item the 3-pack of menstrual pads? For me the item's showing up, just no pictures. Can you go in and edit the item's image section?
congrats tvtrayart on your big etsy day! Yay!
Most public shelters will euthanize animals based on adoptability and space, and while I think that public shelters perform an invaluable service to people and animals, I really want to support the alternative groups giving x many more animals a chance to live. Really I'd want to donate to a good TNR group around here since I don't have the resources myself yet...
neffytee, I think your products are nice too and agree with tvtrayart's suggestions. Some of your pictures are less clear than others (i.e. the wire wrap earrings are blurry). Cute stuff, though!

It is the three pack of menstrual pads. I don't know where the pictures went: but at least the items back! As soon as I find the pictures, I'll repost them!
