Thanks for all the positive feedback on the necklace and pricing--I'm a little more confident in my mini food stuff, but since I haven't sold any non-clay jewelry I start wondering if my taste is just really bizarre (and the market IS saturated...)
I've been lucky in that most all my buyers have paid with paypal immediately, and I get the e-mail confirming that I've received the money immediately as well. If they don't pay in the next day or so, I'd use the "request payment" link in paypal. Good luck!

Paypal does send you an email when the payment is in your account. Wait for it!
I'm glad you like pics, elmnerd, those are really cute beaded hairpins! Very nice pic, too.

So here's my Giant Sock Bug, I asked about pricing earlier. tvtrayart suggested $27. Any other input?? It's fully lined, and everything but the body is interfaced as well, and I'm especially happy with how I figured out the 'hidden' pocket in front for scissors and chibi!

Thanks,
Sock

Olilo...I'm sure she just didn't complete the transaction...I'd wait a day or so cause of the holidays and then request payment or send e-mail.

Sock...that bug is so cool...I love it..

I'm going to search the forums for this but I thought that I would ask anyway. I sold my slice bag today and the paypal email hasn't come yet. I'm not really sure what to do at this stage. When do I send the bag? I read on etsy that everyone sends it after paypal confirms the payment successfully went through, but doesn't that take days? Not sure please tell me what to do Embarrassed

It hasn't yet sunk in that I sold the bag. I think it will when I actually send it b/c then panic will set in when I realize I don't know if I remember how to make another one!
Thanks for the help (in advance)

janaina

Paying with paypal is almost instant. But if they use a credit card I think it takes about a day. I would definately wait until the payment is confirmed though you wouldn't want to get stiffed.

In other news I just finished making my sisters baby shower invitations. I decided to post them in my shop and make them custom orders!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will wait a day and see what happens! thanks again.

Sock-I love it, I think 27 is fair, almost a bit low. It's just so neat, I don't know how i missed it before!

Sock--I absolutely love your sock cicada bag!!! Thanks for posting pictures, the top one where it looks like your giant bug is eating the sock just made me so so happy. After seeing that, I'd say $27 is a bargain! What beautiful fabric, too!

(blush) Thanks, everyone! Etsy is so cool, it all came from a convo from a sock knitter who asked if I could make one the size to fit her wip (work in progress), and she also asked for a pocket. I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise, because a BIG bug?? But I really like it. I'll have to make one for myself! I'm so shy, though, I'd get uncomfortable if people asked me about it (silly me)...exactly what do you say when someone asks? I could really use some hints. Seriously. :-)

I'm not shy, so I can tell you exactly what I say.

If someone in public comments on an item of mine that I handmade, I say, "Why thank you, and I'll be ever so happy to make one for you in any color you'd like, too!" and then I hand them a business card.

Eeps!  I missed a lot today!  Olilo, congratulations on your sales!!!  How wonderful!

Sock, that is divine, why not charge $35?  It certainly looks like it's worth more than that.

Nessa, I'd go with $50.  There are bags that are in the 40's that aren't as cool as that.   I love it.  Did you post it yet?  I didn't see it in your shop.

Synne, the necklace is gorgeous!  Great eye--Is $18.50 too little?   I think people like things under $20.  Smiley

I had a monstrous day today.  I sold 9 items.  When it rains it pours.  Well, I guess two of those were trades with RomyBrett, but still, I was excited.

Hope I didn't miss anyone.  Congrats on all your guys sales and wonderful creations!
