Olilo, I agree with you about getting a few more items in your shop.  Also, you might want to try presenting your shop in a more "boutiquey" fashion.  Perhaps with the little shoes, people might bite if they were presented more like in a catalog (i.e. no on someone's hands, etc.)  I'm not sure, but just something maybe to think about.  I do think that your shop has so much promise that maybe with the right presentation, things might just take off!

Does anyonethink this would be problamatic ? I really am curious and thats the only reason why im putting off doing it...

In other notes, i added a new bracelet and more Kanzashi to my store!

Just in time for Easter all the bags in my shop are on sale! I've been working a lot behind the scenes on products for my store and plan on starting fresh after the Easter Weekend!

Take a look!

By the way, Everything I've read in this thread has been nothing but insightful, helpful and exciting and it's nice to have such a thriving online community to share the my love for sewing and crafting with people all over the world -- so thank you everyone.

sweetjaime, i think it should be oh kay, i have seen a bunch of people with different names for their shop and there actualy etsy.com name.  i dont think it will hurt you.  change the banner/avatar and just make sure you have a note up for at least a month so returning customers don't get confused.

Hi everyone. I was going to post this in ideas section but it's more based on my etsy shop and if this idea is good enough to create it. I was thinking of making bean bag toys- small stackable beany toys but do I use beans or plastic pellets? I would assume beans but I don't know how buyers would react to "natural" filler I think they would feel more comfortable with "man-made" material. Is it just me or is this just the most depressing question ever? What ever happened to au naturale? Why do I feel compelled to even ask this question? We need to get back to our roots people, our roots. HA!
No but seriously pellets or beans? I would use a innerlining for protection.
thanks for the advice.

I use natural fillings for mine where possible. Why use man-made when you can utilise nature! Grin

No but seriously pellets or beans?

You'd need to be careful not to use something that can rot or mildrew if it gets wet.

As far as more items in a store, I know I like to have a bit of choice in a particular item - That's why I've decided to 'narrow the field' in my shop! (Hence my 20% all jewelry in my shop 'till it's gone) I've been very guilty of the 'garage sale look' talked about on the Etsy forums, and the shops that I really spent time in, I noticed were more focued. And I do like to see 2-3 pages worth of stuff too. Just my 2 cents!
