I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

You are more than welcome mamarose!  You're a special person, so you deserved a special poppet. I'm so glad that you like her.  I'm glad she arrived, and arrived in one piece!  I've had so many problems w/the PO lately.  Sad  Thank you for letting me know she arrived.  I suppose as a bonus, she did arrive a day earlier than expected.  My idea for her instantly popped into my head when I saw your themes were cats and roses.  I had another idea for another poppet, but, I didn't go through w/it.  Maybe next time, if we're partnered again.  Since there isn't a gallery, maybe it would be okay to post a pic of her here.  Yes, I was very proud of her.  Especially since she was my very 1st poppet.  Smiley  She didn't take me as long as I thought it would to make.

Sharalee, her body was made from a velour house coat/robe.  Her eyelashes are a trim that I had.

Yeah, I bought the robe/house coat at a garage sale.  It had never even been worn.  The tags were still on it.  I got it for .50 or a $1.00 some time ago.  I knew I would be making some sort of plush out of it.  When I saw mamarose's themes, this poppet instantly came to mind, along w/this robe/house coat.  I had to dig it out of the closet in my craft room/studio.  That closet is pretty packed!  Grin  The trim was left in our house when we bought it.  One of the previous owners was an "interior decorator".   Grin

You got a good deal on that robe! So cool that the previous owner was a interior decorater. Did she leave other things too! Isn't it neat when we can use things we already have in our stash & not have to buy things!

She was a self proclaimed "interior decorator".  She left some beads too.  They are going to be incorporated into a project soon.  She accidentally left some of her daughter's clothes and some meds.  She was a teacher at the elementary school up the street, that both of my boys attended.  So, I knew her.  We brought the clothes and the meds to the closing, so she could get them back.  The only thing I had to buy for this swap was doll joints, stuffing, and eventually more green felt.  I went through the green felt like water.  I had received the safety eyes in a previous swap.   Grin
