Hi all,

I have no idea why this idea hasn't occured to me before but now that I've had it I'm super excited!  I want to create a handmade/crafted Harry Potter Collection!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have a green Mcgonagall Cloak that I had made for me but I want to make, among other things:

A Hermione magical handbag
McGonagall's hats - the witches hat and the tartan quidditch hat (the hat in the picture was hired but I put the feather in)
My own wooden wand in an olivander's box
House robes - Gryffindor of course
Gryffindor knitted scarf and half gloves

Do you have a handmade Harry Potter collection? If you do, please pretty please show me your finished items? I would love to see!

Hope this post is in the right place.

I've seen Sheepblue's lovely HP bags using the teesha moore technique and I've started making my own patches.

Haven't done any embroidery for about 7 years so It's taking me a while!

Welcome, oakpheonix, for a wand you could find a branch or twig the shape and approximate length you want then decorate and embellish as you desire. This is one I did for the HP Craftalong

There are many wand tutorials out there using a variety of materials and skill set

For a box, after you have crafted you wand you could hit up the craft store for a wooden box the length and size you- or make your own out of cardboard and give a faux wood finish

you should check out and join the Harry potter craftalong- under miscellaneous topic < craftalongs

The current session is here : http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=433608.0

Thanks Teag.  I love your wand; I've never seen one with a leather bound handle.  Very nice, indeed.  I also thoroughly enjoyed reading about your experiences with you sycamore wand.

I'm eagerly heading over to the craftalong links you sent.
