I made this for Griminspirations in the Under the Sea Swap. We had a long crafting time and I needed it. The entire thing is hand-stitched. I had so much fun doing this project. He has informed swaps that I am working on now. I will have a tutorial up soon for making his bendable arms. Stay-tuned! The tutorial can be found here: Bendable Octopus Arms: Tutorial.

SO AWESOME!

I love and admire that You HAND STITCHED this! (that would feel like a bazillion lifetimes for me Tongue)

The fabric is super as well... just so cool! Wink

This is AMAZING!!! The hand stitching really adds to the whole feel and texture, I think. Also the fabric you chose is simply perfect. Awesome underwater feel. I love the netting on the side of the head too! Just splendid. Smiley

Thank you. And yes, it did seem to take forever. After a time I wondered why the heck I had chosen to hand-stitch the whole thing. But once it was over I was in love.

Wow! Beautiful, lifelike octopus. Great shape, sparkling eyes, long bendable tentacles...the net is such a clever idea. The fabrics are just perfect too!

So fabulous!  Cheesy I like every part of this, but I especially like the eyes!  The length and movement of the arms is terrific.

Bwaaah craftster deleted my reply half-way through! >.< Well anyway Holy crabapples this is just so lovely. I think this is the best octopus I have ever seen (and I own a very expensive octopus plush that looks like the proto-facehugger from Prometheus...) but thats probably because yours is handmade! I cannot believe you hand-stitched all of it! It looks huge. It probably took forever. are the designs on the side of the head embroidered? They look possibly crocheted- it looks super cool. I'm gonna check out your tutorial now.  Wink
