How was the show this year? Went last year and it was pretty fun, although did spend a ton of cash. Embarrassed Did you pick up any great beads or bargains??

Omigod! I went for the first time this year!! It was really cool, I got a bunch of beads, though I also spent alot! It was worth it though. Some of that stuff was REALLY beautiful, I wish I 'd had more money!

Hey Idigmusic--
That is cool you got a bunch of beads!!! That place is disastrous for money spending  Embarrassed But good to hear that it was worth it! Have you made any jewelry with your new beads?! That is always the best. They had really nice stuff last year, it was just incredible that some of the beads were as expensive as they were though.. Did you buy from any of the people who sell by the ounce??! That robbed me... thought an ounce bought more. Oh well. Are you going to the stitch n' bitch?? It sounds like a good time.

I went to the Bead and Button this year for the first time.  It was really mind boggling.  I knew I didn't have a lot of a money to spend, so I mostly looked.  I did get to meet people who I have bought from over the internet, so that was really cool. I took a great class from Christi Friesen, who is a polymer clay artist in CA - www.cforiginals.net - is her website
It was fun - I saw pretty much everything in 3 hours, then went to the class.  I bought a bunch of pearls and I got some beautiful glass beads, that look like rolled up leaves in different colors, but at 2.50 each, my money didn't go very far.  Now lets make sure they get made into something that sells!
If you want to teach a class at next year's B & B - applications are due in the mail by June 15!

milwjamie-
haven't had much time yet, but vacations coming up, so I may have some time then. I think that even for what I spent I got pretty good deals, didn't do it by the ounce & now I'm glad. It was a bit overwhelming being there, too much to look at!!

Idigmusic--
Yeah, it sucks to buy by the ounce a lot of the time it seems. Seem to recall that after leaving the show last year I didn't want to look at beads for a week!! They had so much stuff there!!! You're right about it being overwhelming, sort of like when you walk into a room of unorganized records for sale, you want to see them all but know you can't. That always makes me sad and not want to even look at all  Embarrassed . Vacation is the best!! I'm planning on doin a ton of knitting this summer, hehe. What are your crafting plans? (if any that is, usually it's funner to just go with it and make tons of random things).

hahaha I know! And freakier that I randomly decided to check the city boards again tonight! And saw you were the last post! LOL.

Oh and man oh man I was such a dork in those posts!! Well not entirely, but you know what I mean   Tongue

I must've done a LOT of knitting in that summer before I met Matt!! hahaha...

But that part about not wanting to look at records if there is a room full of them? Yeah, so still totally true.
