Neener neener! I'm first to post in the gallery  Grin

pesky pixie really spoiled me. Each item she created has such skill and care. Love them all!

First is a blanket she made that has fleece on one side, and crochet on the other.

I predict many cool days will be spent using this while crafting.

Here is a detail of the SOD.

The butterflies in the corners are movable.

Next are two hot pads she crocheted.

Amazing right?

Here is a fun bottle cover she crocheted, and it could be a vase, too.

Last, but not least. She made me a green shrug, and it is so luxurious feeling! Cannot wait for winter to wear it. Smiley

Here is a detail of the yarns.

So glad I asked pesky pixie to join the IYP. Not only for the wonderful gifts, but it gave me the chance to get to know her, and create for her, too. Hope she goes on to do many successful swaps here on C-ster. Smiley

Thank you pesky pixie! Kiss

Ooh I like it all but I'm really taken with how skillfully the water bottle cover is done! I've been crocheting rocks lately and it's a challenge to get a tight fit but that looks perfect - and I love the rainbow color choice  Grin Great job!

While home sick, I got the best package from Ludi today!! We agreed to make 3 items for each other and she knocked the ball out of the park on each count  Cheesy

Firstly, a twinchie for my collection. When kittykill got that ball rolling (lots of ball euphemisms...not sure why), I became quickly obsessed and I knew my life would not be complete without a Ludi-original to add to my collection. We discussed themes, and I told her a lot of mine were following a natural flora/fauna vibe, and I love stumpwork. So she came up with this miniature beauty!!

For reference, that's my pinkie!! It is so tiny and delicate. I'm smitten  Grin Grin Grin Even having it up close in person I still can't figure out how she makes such magic with a needle and thread. Also side note: Ludi, the twinchie I've made you could be right in the forest that this guy came from. Very funny - you'll see what I mean when you get your package  Wink

Anyway, onto #2, my personal mini plague doctor! A little appropriate with me being sick and all. The stitching on the hat and body are so tiny it hurts my eyes just imagining trying to make it, and the sculpting on the face is perfect! I've just dabbled in sculpting a bit for Ludi's package so I know how challenging it can be! Super impressed.

Lastly, Ludi made me a stitched portrait!!! (sorry, too many exclamation marks? Well deal with it I guess, my excitement cannot be contained!!). I loved her last foxy one and so she asked me what my favorite animals were...of the several ideas I came up with I said salmon...not your typical favorite animal but I find them fascinating and I grew up in the Pacific northwest where learning about them and their lifecycle was standard. It reminds me of home. She she made this piece entitled "the Great Traveler". Very appropriate! The stitching is so beautiful, blending colors and creating this masterpiece...although looking at the portrait as a whole, he is quite a fearsome fellow.

She was also super thoughtful and sent along some delicious chocolate bars, and some whimsies and embroidery floss to add to my stash  Grin

Thank you so much Ludi for swapping with me. I hope we may swap again some time in the future though I know I'll have to get back in the long queue of swappers who are waiting to swap with you  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

That shrug is so lush feeling, alwaysinmyroom would look fabulous in one! Smiley

WOW! Ludi is so skilled I don't know where to begin. The inchie is my favorite, I think. Smiley

I just knew we would see some wonderful embroidery in this swap!

I just love the richness of the fabric and threads in the "Great Traveler"!

And tiny stuff always catches me eye (yes, that is "eye", singular...my other eye cannot see such tiny things!) Grin.

Great job, Ludi!  And hope you feel better soon, despite the plague doctor being in the house, Sheepblue!
