I wasn't sure if this would work when i started, but I'm really pleased with how it came out.

The bear is drawn & stitched onto chiffon. I sketched in heavy pencil on the bottom layer, then added 2 more layers of fabric and sew back-stitch through all layers for the anatomy of the bear, then added another layer and sew split stitch though all of it for the outline

I coffee stained the center of the paper, then backed it with chiffon scraps to stabilise it. Then i but the middle out of a blank canvas, and sew the paper into the hole... Then a couple of hidden stitches to hold the bear on top, and it was done Cheesy

I am pleased with this mostly because it's so different from my usual style - i was really challenged by a swap partners themes & style, one of the reasons i love swaps here is because they broaden your crafting horizons!

That is gorgeous - it seems ephemeral and so so delicate. Beautiful.

My favourite stage direction in all of theatre.

And this has a wonderful effect. I've been experimenting with sheer fabrics and embroidery, and I can now see there's lots more that I've never even thought of doing!

I've always loved that stage direction too. I really like your interpretation of the bear. Such a good design. I find sewing on chiffon is tricky because any ends will show through.  You made a beautiful job of it.
