I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!

Looks like we have some of the same stamps, Onyxnox. Maybe I should have stamped something in the interior of the cards I sent instead of leaving them blank. Too late now though, they've all been sent. Next time.  Undecided

Like the use of the map as the background. Very effective for the travel theme.

LOL - maybe we just share the same aesthetic!  I always troll the local library for neat things to craft with, like map books, vintage stuff...

My family members are falling down on their jobs. No one checked the mail today until I made a trip to Wal-Mart late this evening. That's when I squealed with glee. Received a package from Onyxnox! It's fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! Can hardly wait for morning to arrive so I can take some photos. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I nominate Onyxnox "Queen of the Crafted Notecards Swap". It's hard to even know where to start with her artistry.
First up, the cute, little, heat embossed card she sent with a note.

Then let's start with the "generic" notecard - She created two of each design and made matching envelopes for each card. At the top of each photo you'll see the front and back of the envelopes. The exterior and interior of the cards are shown in the bottom of each shot. On these cards she used a delicate, silver embossed, scroll design for the background, then topped it with a double layered mat and the stamped pen nib image. So elegant!

Then she went with my holidays theme:
Halloween - DD#1 claimed these, but only because her sister hasn't seen them yet. I suspect there may be a battle over them. Luckily there are two cards, so I foresee I may have to do a King Solomon on them; split them and give one to each.

Thanksgiving - Even more heat embossing on these gorgeous beauties. This time in copper and a dark brown. They look so professional and just shout out "Fall". They look so rich yet earthy!

And then my favorites: Christmas. The photos don't even begin to do them justice. (I tried flipping this photo several times but no luck.) The stamping and embossing were done in silver which stands out so beautifully on the blue cardstock. The interior paper is a white pearlized cardstock. Although the snowflakes on the front look white, they're actually a silver foil and the ribbon strip down the center is more of the pearlized paper that has been embossed with snowflakes.

Love these cards: simple, elegant, beautiful, and rich with understated details. Thank you again, Onyxnox!

Thank you - I decided to send all the extra cards I made because I figured I could always make more if I want - and also I am expecting to get a lot of wonderful cards soon anyways!

Kathy - the dark brown leaves are actually clear embossing - I love to use clear powder on bright or dark card stock because it then looks like a deeper tone on tone embossing and it really stands out.  then you never have to worry about having the perfect matching embossing powder too.

Looks like I need to pull out my clear embossing powder and try that. Thanks for the info.
