A friend gave me a craft egg to make things with- so I thought I  will make a baby dragon for it!
(turned out too big, I need to make a smaller one, instead Cheesy)

I love randomly stitching... really therapeutic, plus, I like to think, it's like tiny baby scales.

Weird fact- when I look at it, I have no idea how it could have possibly take so, so many hours.
Maybe I'm really slow. Maybe it's that I like to work with 1-2 needles at a time.

Oh so CUTE!  I think it looks like it would fit if you wadded it up like chickens are when they are in the egg...but I don't mean to say you should do that!  Sweet little faces should get wadded up Grin

I must say I think you were just in the moment.  When I'm making something that I'm totally into, I complealty loose track of time.  I'd starve to death if I was on my own Grin

My favorite part is the stitching around the eye. It give it so much more than just felting would. And his little nose and mouth are precious. He really does look like he just hatched. He's curious and excited to see the world, but he needs to learn to walk first, right?

Thank You all! <3

It's so true, that time just stands still and flies at once, when we're doing something we love Wink - the very reason I stay up til 2-3am most nights (and I have the privilege to stay home with kids in the summer and not having to wake up early).

And he seems to be doing good with standing up on his own, but walking takes more time- haven't seen him move yet Cheesy

(oh and hubby tried to fit him in the egg, but no go Tongue)

Very lovely dragon.

Needle stitching always takes me a lot of time too.
