I was paired up with fancybutch in the recent Enchanted Forest Swap.  I've been goofing around with resin recently, and since she said she wears larger pendent necklaces sometimes, I thought I'd try out something I'd been thinking about for awhile..

I bought these tiny "gold"butnotgoldfish the last time I went to Seattle (for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in Dec!!!) at Archie McPhee's.  I have bought waaay too many of those little corked glass bottles at dollar stores, hoping to force my self to do something with them.  So, I used a hot gem setter and some gems to glitter it it a bit, and made one big eye for it out of a peg eye.  Then I shoved it in a bottle and filled it with resin.  I call it a Wishfish...because the pools in the enchanted forest in my head are FILLED with Wishfish Grin
The little leaf is cast resin and glow powder.  The little added stars are from the need to use a 40% off coupon at a mega craft store Grin

Thanks for looking Grin

What a great use of different elements.  It really comes together beautifully!  *absolutely terrified of working with resins, but awed by the results of others doing so*   Smiley

I was completely terrified too!  I would buy resin every time Michael's had a coupon...I have like 6 boxes of the stuff..But I bought a book called Resin Alchemy (it's by the woman who designed Crystal Resin) and she made it sound so easy, I finally started to use it.  And now I just love the stuff.  And every time I use it, I learn something new about it.  So...jump on in!...okies not into the resin...you know what I mean Grin
