I saw these little shooting stars on Pinterest and so stitched up a dozen for an abandoned art project. See http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=434378.0#axzz38hMpN3Tv.

They are simply felt stars with a top layer of fabric stars, a bit of ribbon and rice stuffing. They fly with their tails out behind them when tossed into the air...or at your partner. Lots of fun. I'm making more for my grandson, probably with a tic tac toe game or such to add to them.

They would make great party favors too! Now I need to work up a game to go with it. Maybe a travel around the universe racking up points done on a small quilt or throw? My grandson would love this.

Any ideas?

I LOVE THIS IDEA! I think I will make some for my grandson & neighbours kiddos. I'm thinking of hanging our hula hoops from the washing line for them the throw through  Grin

I like the hula hoop game idea.

And a friend suggested these would make great magic wands as well. Crafting is so fun.
