Saw this poem and was moved by the words:
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still missed and very dear.
Author Unknown

Wanted to make a mosaic using this and here is the final product. Using stained glass, tempered glass, beads, grout and grout tinting.

The 4 sides are all mosaiced, and it can also be hung on the wall or be free standing.

It is beautiful...it made me cry... Wink Cry

I love how you did the feather...and that you chose a feather for this piece...it is something you can hold and yet it is so easily taken by the wind...

Lovely inspiration for your work...nice job!

Thank you so much, alwaysinmyroom. Smiley The feather idea came from my sister. She sees random feathers and is quite certain they are reminders from her husband. I tend to agree.

HSG, that is really beautiful -- the feather really makes it! How did you do the words? Are they sandwiched in clear glass?

The words are printed on stock then glued to the substrate and clear glass glued over that. Thank you, Sonjaboo  Smiley
