Is there anything special you fellow word-nerds would like to see for this swap?  Grin

Oh, yes, please! Would you allow new swappers? Would another round of this swap happen at some point if you wouldn't? I jumped out of my chair squeeing when I saw this thread.

Lifelong linguistics nerd, here! I even received an unabridged dictionary, as well as one of etymology, for my birthday when I was a kid. I kill at Scrabble. Those simple-substitution puzzles some newspapers print rarely parse that way to me since I solve them on-sight. I turn names, signs, labels...the last sentence I heard...into anagrams in my head as a way to relax. Every single thing I do art- or craft-wise incorporates language.

This is the perfect swap! I would savor connecting with another soul as nerdy and possessed as myself. Semi-related point of curiosity: I wonder if any one else here has synaesthesia? Broadly speaking: perceptions in one sense triggering perceptions in another, such as words and music parsing as color, shapes having personalities, tasting numbers... Common-ish among language nerds. Might be fun to incorporate into a swap like this.

I'm going to have this swap in September.  It appears you have the minimum time and post requirements met, so yes you would be able to join.  Just look on the Craft Swap board towards the end of August/beginning of September, send the questionnaire, and then post in the thread.

I have synesthesia, but it pertains to seeing music and other sounds.  Maybe a synesthesia swap?

I wonder if that other one is my roommate, who was responsible for hauling me onto this site. We thoroughly confuse our third non-synaesthete roommate at times when we're trying to describe things to each other! Oh, wow, a synaesthesia swap would be amazing!

I shall keep my eyes open for the aforementioned thread.

I am a major lover of words, and a writer to boot! I'm potentially interested in participating. Smiley

ooh I would definitely be up for a word lovin' swap!

My mom passed her love of words on to me, and she and I played scrabble from the time I was wee, and after she passed I got three scrabble tiles representing her initials tattooed on my leg.
