If you have read my profile, you would probably know that I have 2 pet goats named Ginger and Maryanne- yes from Gillian's island Grin so I wanted to do a goat embroidery. Who wouldn't? I made the ears a little different, using an acrylic fabric medium. I like to mix my media sometimes.
I really loved making it, it's a 7 inch hoop,  but I really hurt my neck in the process. I think I keep it too stiff while stitching. It took me 3 days to get over it.  Sad

I like the mixed media, and the little grass stem.  Smiley   And hey, embroidery is supposed to be relaxing!  Cheesy

Love it! The expression and layering is great!

Everything hurts my neck, lol. Frequent breaks and yoga help, but can slow down production. Hope you find a way to keep working without injury!

Your embroidery is really wonderful!  I don't want to say that it is life like, more spirit like.  The goat looks lost in thought.  Love how you did the ears.  As for the neck pain that can happen when your focusing so much that you forget to move.  You might want to invest in a table or standing frame.  Just because you finish it in a hoop doesn't mean you have to start in one.  A standing frame needs a lot of fabric so I usually do two or more projects on the same fabric.  Clover has a table clip that is very nice and leaves your hands free.  The clover hoops are expensive but they are also the best hoops I've ever worked with.  Finally there are the lap frames that tuck under you while you sit.  Even if you don't do this for your neck these frames leave you hands free which makes embroidery easier.  Personally I extend my standing frame so that I can literally stand while embroidering.

Can't wait to see your next project!
