My niece is just learning to make her own jewelry and so the past couple of days we worked on a Copper Spiral Bracelet.  I can't believe how beautiful it came out.

This was her first time working with wire and I believe that she is very talented.

Thanks for looking!

Impressive work!  I'd say she found a natural medium for her to work in, and an awesome tutor to help her learn...  *feeling the excitement of a new artist in the craft*  Smiley

Actually I don't think so!  I didn't try that bracelet because it looked hard.  But I believe that it is important to teach on a project that the student is interested in.  When I teach crochet I start with the double crochet stitch.  I start the piece and then let them go.  So many people get bored doing the chain stitch.  So after they see that they can do something that looks hard they feel confident and excited to learn more.

My niece is back in Australia now and I hope she will make many beautiful things in the future.  I am planning on making a similar bracelet out of silver for myself.  I don't wear jewelry but that bracelet is amazing.
