Spring sunshine ALWAYS makes me want to sew new clothes & I recently came across a website that generates custom fitted print at home patterns - Lekala.co
The patterns are dirt cheap to buy and they also have a selection of freebies, got to love those freebies
Now I don't have a printer so I had to trace my patterns off of my screen before sticking them all together which wasn't ideal but still it was do-able.
The sewing instructions are very basic and assume that you know more or less what you are doing and they are translated from Russian too.
Want to see what I've made so far?
After trying out the free patterns and being happy with the fit I decided to challenge myself and bought the pattern for a pair of cropped jeans - maybe I am biting off more than I can chew but what the heck. I am hoping to make the jeans by recycling old jeans and embellishing the pieces before I start sewing them together, I may have to buy some fabric but fingers crossed it won't be a lot (I have quite a stash of used denim!) I am even unpicking the back pockets to use. These jeans have a patch pocket on the front which i thought would be perfect for embellishing so I'm beading a peace symbol on it
I have also stencilled a piece of denim with stars.
I couldn't wait to get started on them but I have only traced part of the pattern so far
Has anyone else here tried Lekala? I would love to see what you have made!
