Oh, dang. Should I do this one? I'm a sucker for any kind of doll. Dolls are taking over my house.

Why yes...yes you should.  Smiley After all, what could one more doll hurt? Wink

I can make poppets and amigurumi, too. I've got to wrap things up with my video game swap, then I'll see about this one.

Well, trying to be helpful if I can, I went and printed off ghillie's poppet pattern and am going to give it a whirl and see how it goes. IF it goes well, and we are still short handed, I suppose I can swap teams. although I would love to have one eventually made by these poppet pros we have around here  Smiley
I have some deep blue soft suede-ish material that I think would make some of the neatest poppet skin...make it something whimsical perhaps. But then again, dunno if anyone out there would wish for a blue poppet?

I can think of several poppets that would be wonderful with blue skin. And I also received the most adorable Rose from Doctor Who poppet from Sharalee in another poppet swap. If she joins, someone will be very happy (hint *join* hint Sharalee hint *join* hint!!!) I tried to be very subliminal there - did it work? Smiley

My username is because I was completely addicted to amigurumi when I joined lol.  If I join this swap (I probably will) I can do either.  So if you're short on the poppet side I can do that.

w00 we're corrupting people back into the poppet madness again!! ~One of us, one of us, one of us!!~ hahaha

And I made a blue skinned poppet, it was a more humaniod poppet of Eeyore =D it actually turned out kinda cute! Snap on tail with a lil bow n all though I still have yet to make clothes for him ha hahaha!!!  I've found cotton muslin is easy to work with for poppets if you leave a lil extra seam allowance, but boy I'll warn you if you do posable fingers with muslin, turn very very very VERY carefully!! and plan for about 2 extra yards of fabric just for hands otherwise hahaha!!!

Im Sew Silly, my best recommendation when it comes to poppet sewing would definitely be the freezer paper method... if I could remember who told me about that I'd kiss them for it! It makes things sooo much easier! Oh crap, thats what I forgot on my list for shopping tomorrow... good thing I remembered that XD
