As mentioned preciously, I recently organized a Dreamcatcher Swap, and was fortunate enough to swap with the lovely FiberAlchemist.  I had a very hard time deciding exactly what to make for her, as she had some many wonderful ideas pinned.  I was torn between a crafty themed dreamcatcher for her craft room, or a subtly geeky Doctor Who dreamcatcher, so I decided to try working on both, and see which one "clicked" for me during the crafting process.  This is the second one I started, a subtly geeky Doctor Who themed dreamcatcher.

The hoop is wrapped in black deerskin leather, with a web woven of royal blue embroidery floss.  The tiny TARDIS charm is on a blue clasp, that can be moved around on the web, or removed entirely for a less geeky look if desired.  The web also contains 5 swarovski crystal stars.  The fringe is made of strands of black and silver Schmaltz yarn, which is silky and contains tiny sequins dotted throughout it.

The first dreamcatcher I made for her can be seen here:

I love how this is a very subtle nod to Doctor Who. You wouldn't know that its geeky unless you got close  enough to really look at it
