Hi everyone!

I received an amazing package today from Mistress Jennie.  She spoiled me greatly this swap and everything she sent is beautiful.

She sent me two dreamcatchers.  This first is a red and turquoise dreamcatcher which matches the decor in my crafting space perfectly.

and here is a close up of the lacing

And the second is a Doctor Who themed dreamcatcher.

and a close up

I love the little star beads and the tiny police box at the center of the lacing.

She also sent a dreamcatcher bookmark, some homemade chive salt and some strawberry socks (they make me think of Kaylee from Firefly).

and here is a closeup of the bookmark

Jennie thank you so much!! I love everything!  Kiss

I'm so glad you like it darling! Cheesy I initially couldn't decide which design to make, so I started both of them, figuring one would start to "click", and the other would feel wrong or forced, and I'd put it aside.  But both seemed to go together, and then I couldn't decide which you needed more, so you clearly needed BOTH!  The tiny TARDIS is on a little clasp, so you can move it around to other places on the web, or remove it entirely if you want a less geektastic look.

I received the most AMAZING swap package from FiberAlchemist today!  (Actually, I had been checking the tracking number all day, and ran straight over to our apartment office as soon as the number indicated it had been delivered.  They hadn't even checked it in yet, and I was already demanding my goodies.)

As soon as I opened it I ran around the house trying to decide where to hang it.  FiberAlchemist very thoughtfully crafted a stunning dreamcatcher that would match either my bedroom OR my craft room.  A difficult task considering they are very different in feel.  She did an amazing job.  Cheesy I tried it in my bedroom first, but since our walls are cream, the beautiful detail of the weaving and beadwork blended into the walls too much.  The perfect solution?  Hanging it against the plum walls of my craft room, right over the big squishy arm chair where I do most of my dreaming, craft planning, and reading.  My craft room also serves as our guest room, so I'm sure it will help bring good dreams to me, and many of my friends!

Here it is on my porch, where I was able to get the best lighting. The hoop is wrapped in cream leather. The tassels are a mix of chocolate brown and olive ribbon, strips of purple velvet cloth, and ivory lace. And the beads are a beautiful combination of amethyst, and other semi-precious stone.  (I think I spotted some carnelian and bloodstone?)

This is the corner of my craft room it now resides in.  I love how it ties in the cream from my curtains and throw pillow, and the brown of my lamp.

FiberAlchemist also outdid herself with the "small".  She made me an adorable mug rug and even included a mug to go with it!  (Which I immediately washed and made tea in, even though it's in the 90's here right now.)

Detail of the mug rug:

(FiberAlchemist, what is the name of this fabric line?!?!?! It's a-freakin-dorable!)

And a detail of the craft-tastic mug!

Thank you, thank you, thank you FiberAlchemist!  I'm completely overwhelmed by the beauty of your work, and your attention to detail.  You always inspire me here on Craftster.

Jennie, I'm so glad you like everything. After receiving from you I was having some serious anxiety.  Tongue  I think the greenish beads are Jasper, or at least that's what the package says.

Most of the fabric is by Moda, the line is called "sewing box". The turquoise "starburst" print is by Michael Miller and the black print didn't have any information on the selvage.  Sad  I was walking around the fabric store and knew it would be perfect the minute I laid eyes on it.
