Yay!! I'm happy to see this up and running and happy to see all of the interest.

I'm busy working on the IYP swap right now but I have a lot of projects already in my craft room that would be good candidates for abandonment Smiley. I'll do something more official once my crafty time frees up a bit.

I'm excited to see what others do!!

I joined the facebook page recently and am now doing some practice stuff until I feel I have something I want to abandon. Will check in here too.

So excited to see interest here! Smiley

Think I will get started on something this week. Goal is to do a wide variety of items and get my stash down. Trying to deplete things I don't really use, but in a beautiful and useful way. Also can do my favorite crafts, too.

I think sometimes it would be fun to leave things for service people also. Waitresses, mailman, person who cuts your hair, co-worker (anonymously), doorman, etc.

Please post pictures and keep the thread flowing with all your great ideas. I'm going to start a Pinterest boards for the thread, too! Smiley

Or you could always send me items that you want to destash! I actually have the opposite problem. I just moved to New Jersey from South Carolina and I had to leave most of my supplies in SC so I'm trying to rebuild a stash. So I want to find a couple ideas I like before making any plans because I'll have to go out and get the necessary supplies.

The postal system should really give us a discount for mailing supplies to each other.  After all, we craftsters probably pay for half their pay roll Grin

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

We should get frequent customer discounts or earn miles like flying. Every X miles your packages travel you can apply to another package.

Oooh, I want to join in! I've been doing this again recently! The person who runs the Art Abandonment website that was linked in the first post also has a Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/ArtAbandonment/) and I've been posting my stuff there. I do feel a little too pic happy there sometimes though.

I was in the Art Abandonment swap too!  Cheesy

Welcome SilverMoon! Be glad to have you join us. Smiley

I've been working on some ideas for things to make. Want to really make people happy when they find something I've left. So much unhappiness in the world today.

I love the idea of abandoning art for others to find. I was involved in the Abandoned Art swap too, and even got some great responses from people that found my abandoned art way up in Canada where my partner distributed them. I've been on an embroidered twinchie making kick, and have a feeling that I'm going to be making way more than I have any good use for so maybe the odd twinchie will make it for art abandonment.
