Do you love making Teesha Moore-style patches? Have you always admired them but haven't yet caught the TM bug? Well, this could be the swap for you!

In this round of the TM Patch Swap, you will be crafting for 1 or 2 partners (first time swappers will be limited to 1 partner) and from 1-3 patches (you and your partner should agree on the exact number).

Also, you will have the option of exchanging a TM Patch Supply kit with your partner (contents of kit may include: floss, fabric, embellishments {buttons, beads, ribbons, charms, etc}, poly-fil, etc.).

Let's keep this swap simple and limit it to the sending of patches and kits (if you love sending extra things, consider adding those in to a kit Smiley ).

There are lots of inspirational patches from previous swaps, so check out some of the galleries here:

Ah man this swap stuff is hard to say no to! I have never made a TM patch before, but have always found them too neat.
I will do some thinking on this one for sure!

I will more than likely sign up for this one as soon as I send out a couple of things for other swaps. (OWS and Pendant swap) Then I will be able to handle this one and the biggie, the sea creature swap at the same time.
So, with the TM patches, are they mainly just like inspired by her works/style, or are there certain materials that are required to create a TM patch (like specific fabrics etc. so as not to step on any copy write issues? lol totally TM newbie here)

Ermahgawsh I want to do this one so badly!  Especially since I missed the last round.  But there is SO. MUCH. GOING. ON RIGHT NOW!  My swap cup overfloweth.  I'm glad sign-ups are through mid-July, we'll see where I'm at with swap overload by then.

I'm in! PM sent. And in my recent clean up of sewing room, I found some orphans that might be de-stashed for this.
Depending on my partner's wishes, of course. They were not meant to be patches...just practice pieces. I didn't know the TM craze at the time, and was just experimenting on little scraps for larger projects, but I will bet that that is what started TM to make these little boogers  Grin I can embellish them further, and JOIN THE CRAZE!

    ~T

Im Sew Silly...I think these things have "morphed" into the no rules catagory. I prefer to quilt with cottons. But I have some jersey knits that I might use, too. My machine hates those fabrics. But for hand sewing, they will probably roll well and be easy to stitch beads and embroidery on. Perhaps just adding a cotton backing for stability.

I believe it was craftADDchick who told me that the backing piece you cut a bit larger, and roll it to the front overlapped for the binding edge. I thought they had a bias edge like a quilt...but noooo. Not necessary, although I guess you might do them that way if you wish.

And wonky is OK...no need to fully measure. Just get it close. And iron on stabalizers {interfacing} can often help, too.

These are little projects that you can do in your lap while watching TV, or waiting on supper to cook. No hoop needed, though I guess you could use a hoop and then cut patch to size later? That would depend on your form of technique. And the style of embellishments you wish to add.

I've not made any of these, but have studied lots of other artist's designs. And have been stitching and quilting for most of my life. So I am confidant that I can come up with some projects that will make members {partner} happy.

Jump in! We just shocked the pool  Grin Digging out the supplies takes the longest...stitching the little boogers is easy. If you don't count all the band-aids. Let's say it together....THIMBAL  Grin
