Another wedding, another blanket.  This one is not of my own design.  The bride's sister told me the wedding colors were green and white, so I found a pretty pattern and simply soft yarn.  I used Elizabeth Ham's http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/drop-in-the-pond-lap-blanket and made it much bigger than the pattern.  I also filled in the edges, so it has a straight border instead of the given zig zag.  It ended up being about 80" wide and 85" long.  It only took me six weeks to make, and the bride and groom love it!

That is amazing.  I know crochet works up quicker than knitting but I still think 6 weeks to make such a large blanket is very impressive.

Love the boldness of this pattern!

Did you take this pic from a balcony?  Because that is an impressive sized blanket, and if I were the bride I would be so incredibly grateful for a gift like this.
