Weekly check in question:
Who is your favorite Halloween Character?

Gosh, that's a tough one.  I don't think I actually have a specific favorite character -- vampires in general are great (currently re-watching Season One of True Blood to reminisce about the old times while the final season is underway).

It may sound funny, but I would have to say Maurice (played by Howie Mandel) from Little Monsters.

I love the goofy ones, lol

I like any dark character.  I also like Winnie and Mary from Hocus Pocus, Sam from Trick or Treat and Marnie and Aggie from Halloweentown.

On crafting, I started one project and have all the basics done.  I'll probably drag the finishing touches out a while mainly because it is sooo much fun to work on that I just don't want it to end. Started a second project today and have it almost finished but stopped because I thought of a way to make it better. I think I'll start from scratch on it tomorrow.  About shopping, I went to Joann's and Michael's yesterday and could find NO Halloween paper.  What's the world coming to?  I also needed something for the project I worked on today and couldn't get that either.  But then this morning I remembered that I used to have some a long time ago so I went scavenging out in the garage and sheds.  Lo and behold back in the far corner of the boat shed I found several boxes full of crap treasures left over from a yard sale I had about four years ago.  I intended to have another one and just somehow forgot about it.  So the thing I needed........I found a whole brand new box full....and I had priced the whole box for only 50 cents.  I am so happy nobody bought it.  Also while digging through the rest of the boxes I found something else that will be perfect (I hope) for another project.

Got some stuff for free yesterday.  So, I plan on turning it into some stuff for this swap.  But, today is house cleaning day, and I'm going to clean out and organize my studio/craft room.  I think it will make crafting so much easier!   Grin  I love watching the TV show, "Hoarders".  It always motivates me to clear out.

As a side note, did anyone watch The Strain last night? If you like a good spot of gore, I'd rec it. I found it terrifying, I slept with my lights on. And my mom only got through ten minutes before she bowed out. It's created by del Toro, which is a pretty sweet pedigree.

I did watch The Strain and enjoyed it.  I would recommend the books too if you are a reader...

You guys are reminding of me of so many characters I forgot about!  Sam from Trick or Treat is AWESOME!  Such a great visually creepy character.

I also really love Maurice from Little Monsters, that was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

Has anyone seen the movie Monster Squad?  It's an oldie but a goodie and we like to watch it with the kids in October.

Worked on some stuff for another swap last night but I see that the supplies I ordered for this one have been sent to me!
