This wont be till  mid to late August.
I think the carnivorous plant swap is a great idea. It is very much differnet to this one, as this is open to all differnet things such as animals, insects, flowers etc. plus even though Im open to which mediums are used for this swap, i still like the idea of them looking like the botanical plates/lithographs. So it could still be limited to embroidery, cross stitch, painting, drawing, paper art. I'm not really thinking clay sculpture or needle felting or anything 3D. These would be made to hang on the wall or put in a frame on the desk.
Hope that helps Wink

Ok, thanks.  Yes, that's helpful, and I should be able to time everything perfectly!

See now, you go and say that it makes me want to sculpt it in 3D just to do it that way! Cheesy

I'm going to play devil's advocate because that's how I roll. Wink

Artsycandice you are a devil!  ;DLol OMG those 3D sculptures are awesome. me want! Cheesy
okay how about this idea, swap is for 1 x 3d item and 1 x 'flat' item( can't find a better word) because I know I just wouldn't be able to decide which Sort I would want more. Or I can also put in the question in the questionaire !Would you prefer to craft 1 or 2 items and pair partners up according.
Would people be okay with that? Open to any medium you want to use.
I'm thinking crafting time 4 weeks.

What if everyone put in their questionnaire whether they would prefer to receive a 3D or a 2D piece. I know that displaying the piece can have an impact on what people want. For myself, I have very little shelf space and so have trouble finding homes for standing pieces. But, I LOVE 3D work, and would encourage that it be affixed with a hanger for my wall. You could also ask what people would prefer to make. I think that I am less inclined to make a 2D piece. But that's just me. I also think there are people who do stellar things with tins and wooden blocks and such that they can apply 2D work to. To be too restrictive in the medium can choke out creativity.
Food for thought. Good luck!

Ha ha, now I'm thinking of yet another swap idea.
 3 d bugs only swap.
Fabric / clay / paper mache/ crochet knitted etc.
Think of spiders, beetles, fly,moths,bees,wasps,dragonflys,grasshoppers,ants,earwigs........
My hubby and I love spiders, I think because our two teen daughters are petrified. Lol
Anyone want to host that one? My list is getting long..errrr....

I would be very interested in a vintage botanical-themed swap. It would be a lot of fun with pen and ink, which is one of my favorite mediums.

You have the best swap ideas!
I need to keep my eyes out on this one too. All depending on time... but such a great idea!
