Don 't have a  before pic-I found a couple of ' capitol I'  wooden display pieces at Goodwill. Now, I always need more display height at my table, especially at the upcoming comicon since one table was all I could swing. These aren't bad, but the top area was too small. So I bought two 1.00 frames from Dollar Tree, took them apart, sprayed the backing so both sides were black, them centered it on the top of the stands. A line of e6000 glue and hammered in thumbtacks (painted black) hold it on securely. Then I slide the frame glass and frame itself back on. I have a wider display area, one that now has a lip around the edge to boot. Obviously this wouldn't do for anything heavy, but for lightweight stuff it's perfect.

Those look like they'd do the job nicely.
When you say "upcoming comicon", are you referring to the Denver Comic Con?
