I have to explain.

My wife and I host this yard games event called Big Fun ('cause we're Fats) a couple of times each month.  One of the things we bring is Trac Ball, and the last time we met up we were goofing off with the Trac Ball Rackets at the end of the evening.  My pal Shane happened to get a shot of this happening and posted it on Facebook.  No one could figure out who the person was in the photo, and my wife and I kept trying to figure out who was there that we didn't know.

From left to right: Me, AV, Wife (photo credit or blame to Shane)

We finally realized it is our friend A, just from a really weird angle and with a Trac Ball Racket over her face.  We cracked up about it and shared it with A, who had also hilariously not been able to recognize herself and had been wondering who the "weird ape lookin' guy" was in the picture.  So we made up a whole backstory for this non-existent guy who is something of a creep and who is named Ape Vigoda.

So of course I had to stitch it.  If you people are still reading this, you are awesome.

I put the photo into Paint.NET and followed some really long instructions online to turn it into a coloring book image, then traced with a Sulky iron-on pen and transferred to fabric.  Stitched it up with black and olive green, the covered the back with a deeper green to hide my messy stiching.   Grin
