... I think I'm done!  There's one more element I was planning on adding, (actually my whole current design was based on setting up for this one element) -- but now I'm afraid the tin will be too busy if I add it on  Huh (the element would "block the view" of the rest of the tin).  I also ended up developing a very specific theme with the piece, that was not intentional when I started out.

It's very funny, because as I'm working on my very first altered tin ever, I'm using my partner rackycoo's tutorial from her blog (http://kbatsel.blogspot.com/2011/02/tutorial-altered-altoid-tin.html) to learn how to paper it!  Kind of like asking the surgeon to teach you the operation before you perform it on her.

I started out with one idea in my head, and was very pleased in the beginning.  Then I ended up "over-distressing" (smears from ink pad, and my paper crafting arch-nemesis, paper tears from wet Mod Podge).  So in my mind, I figured this tin was already no-good, and I would have to start over and try one more time (or come up with a different idea).  So I figured I'd "practice" my other ideas on this one, and lo and behold! I ended up with something I'm really happy with.

ETA: My crafty BFF's came over today, and we figured out a way to add that final element without it detracting.  My piece is finished, and I really am pleased with it!  It's all packed up and everything, so I will be heading to the post office to mail on Monday morning.   Smiley

Just checking in. The tin is coming along nicely. The outside of the tin is looking better than I expected! That's always a bonus Cheesy

I am done! Well mostly. Just waiting for my partner to let me know if she wants to hang the tin,  use it as a magnet,  or have it sit on a desk.

I shipped this morning - PMs sent!  Hopefully my little tin makes it intact to SonjaBoo.  It seemed to fit perfectly in the box - but now I am worried it may not make it though any rough handling by the postal services...

The cover of mine is not cooperating the way I had hoped, so it's holding me up. The inside is going pretty well, though. Took me a while to decide which way to orient it (horizontal? no, vertical... no actually horizontal works better... or perhaps it should be vertical...)

I think I might have to go with a back up container... the ones I ordered online are still in transit.  So who knows how long they will take...
