I've started crafting and hopefully it works out, if not, it's still early and will have time to do something else!

Each Thursday I will ask a check in question. This week's question is:

What was your best Halloween costume?

For some reason, as a kid, I always dressed like a bride. It wasn't my best but it was a stand-by. Cheesy As an adult, I was a tightrope walker, an evil toothfairy and a Freudian slip.  Cheesy

Mine was a sexy bat.  My husband still talks about that bat costume  -  we were at the same Halloween party years before we became a couple.   Cheesy

My best Halloween costume was one I never even wore. I spent over 45 minutes picking out a costume at KMart, and went with a Ben Cooper Frankenstein costume. I was so terrified of it, I wouldn't let my dad bring it in the house from the car. I was a kitty that year, with drawn on whiskers, a leotard and tights, lol. Seriously, those costumes could be really scary. A few years later I was brave enough to pick a vampire lady, and actually wear it.

I probably shouldn't mention this to you but my husband collects costumes and we have a ton of those and the Collegeville ones. We have the masks all up the stairs of our house. We have about a hundred, I think.

My mom made all our costumes growing up.  My favorite was in the second grade, I was a bookworm.  My mom covered a cardboard box with paper and used a dryer hose which was covered in pink fabric which went through the book to look like the worm was crawling through it Wink and I had a pink worm head with HUGE eyes and black rimmed glasses.  It was the cutest thing ever! Then a few years later, I needed a costume for a 4H Halloween party THAT night, so I went into my closet, pulled out a bunch of clothing and became a homeless woman Smiley  It was impressive and people thought I had really planned it out LOL  I love Halloween costumes.

Oh recently, I needed a costume for the next day at work (I work at a preschool so simple and not scary works) and I came up with being a Publisher's Clearing House winner!  I had poster board and printed up the words for a check, then glued it all on.  Wore a bathrobe, hair in curlers, pajamas, oh it was fabulous! A couple of years ago I made Little Bean a Cam Ward (Carolina Hurricane's goalie) costume. It was so awesome. Sadly only like 3 people knew who he was.

Wow. Just that mental image alone is probably going to wind up in my nightmares. I've looked at pics of the masks online to see if they were as scary as I remember, and they are even worse.  Shocked
