This is what I made for the latest FOC raffle swap.  It is a double viking knit necklace made with 26 gauge antiqued wire, with a brick stitched floral focal.

I made it convertible so that it can be worn with the focal worn horizontally or vertically.  When it it worn horizontally, it is about 22 inches in length.  The focal is almost 4 inches, so when it is worn vertically, the necklace is about 18 inches.

... and of course, you can wear it without the focal at all, so in it's current configuration, it will be about 18 inches as a plain necklace.  The recipient can personalize it further by making their own focal to add, or lengthen it by just adding some chain between the clasps.

I kind of have a fascination with making convertible/mulit-use pieces lately.

I have some more pictures on my blog if anyone is interested.

So beautiful and unusual.  I love that it is convertible. You are so clever.

Thank you - I figured that I wanted to make it convertible so that whoever got it could have options in case the one way is not to their taste.

Thank you!  As for who the recipient is... I don't know who it is going too!  I will be shipping it out Wednesday though, so I hope it gets there safely!
