I claim AIMR for a small project bag and something else surprise-ish!

2/0/0

My name is Karen and I live in Austin, TX with my teenaged dd Dominoe (who typically ends up with most of my swap items), a huge, goofy lab-mix and a lovely, prissy cat.

I love designs from the 60's and early 70s (think mod & flower power). Also 50's post-modern. 50's/60's SURF THEMES!  I used to have a 1974 VW Thing and I miss it a lot! I also love Asian designs in fabric and artwork.
I prefer clean lines and bold graphics rather than cutesy or fussy prints.

I was born in the year of the Dragon and I just love them! And English Bulldogs (cute, not fierce).  I love anything magical/wonderous including fairies and Alice in Wonderland.
Also, pretty much any Amy Butler fabric.

If you are doing a t-shirt, please not a men's or hanes or jerzees. For me, a ladies med (or if junior sizing, go for a large) (prefer scoop neck).  Target or Old Navy t-shirts are awesome! For DD, juniors fitted med (size 3/5) or ladies small. Thanks!

Other random things I love: silver jewelry, reading, travel, art, geekery, the periodic table, Scooby-Doo, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Firefly, nature, trees, dandelions, rain, cooking, whimsical things (but not whimsies), steampunk!. For more info check my pinterest.

In general, I prefer practical things that can be used (with the exception of small wall art or hoops for my hoopla wall) .  My favorite colors are bolder/earthy tones to 60s mod to beach colors.  Blues/greens/tangerine/black/white/deep red. Please no neon colors or pastels, or pink.

Any of my pinterest boards with wishes or want in the title are fair game (although the sewing one needs to be cleaned up).  Feel free to look there for inspiration and if you spot something there that you would like to make, just PM me!  http://pinterest.com/luckdragon/

OR you can surprise me if you think of something that you would like to make - I'm sure I will love it!

Thank you in advance for picking me!!

I claim luckdragon for an Alice in Wonderland inspired hoopla

1/0/0

My name is Lindy and I am 33 and live in Arizona with my boyfriend of 5 years, my two kids, and all our fur babies.  My daughter Adia is 13  and my son Landon is 9.  We have 3 cats and 3 dogs.  None of us have any allergies so claim away.
About me:  I like hooplas, altered spoons, things with my name or initial L on them, whimsies, mini shrines/altars, Day of the Dead, Harry Potter, Dr. Who, jewelry, Disney. This list could probably go on for a really long time!   My daughter likes kittens, Animal from the Muppets, art stuff, and her iPad.  My son loves Legos, Star Wars, Minecraft, and well more Minecraft.

My favorite colors are deep purple, maroon, aqua/turquoise, pink, black, & silver.  I am not big on yellow or orange as the main colors of things.  I do not really like gold tone jewelry but will wear silver, copper, nickel, etc.

Here is a link to my extensive but organized Pinterest  http://www.pinterest.com/lindyv321/ and I would be happy with anything from it.  Nothing needs to be an exact replica. PM me for questions about color, sizes, etc if needed.

My Wish List:

I'm going to DOUBLE CLAIM luckdragon, because I have more ideas for surprises to make her! Smiley

3 claim / 0 sent / 0 received

Hello, Im Kirsten, I live in New Zealand.

I love art and I like to do drawing, painting and printmaking, as well as sewing, knitting and embroidery, but I havent done much in recent months. My job can be quite intense so Im feeling a need to balance it with more creative time.

Colours: particularly blue/green/teal/aqua, natural tones, greys, or black and white; not so keen on pastels and pinks/purples (though dusty/dull shades can be nice).
Metals: silver, copper or antiqued finishes.
Fabrics: plainish and textured rather than very patterned. Natural linen, monochromatic prints rather than very multi-coloured. Some styles I particularly like are mid-century modern, Scandinavian, Japanese (but not kawaii). I really like the combination of natural linen and bright fabrics.

I dont have any allergies. I prefer natural fibres, but not exclusively.

I tend to like simple and arty things, I dont really like very cutesy or girly things much. The things on my Pinterest boards will give you a good idea of the sorts of things I like. Id rather have things that are inspired by than exact copies its great if you can put your own creative spin on what you make! pinterest

Big wishes in bold (if that's helpful), but anything on the list is welcome. I love surprises too, but because I live in an apartment, please make it something that has a function rather than a purely decorative item. Thank you!!

CRAFTS

SEWN
* set of placemats and/or table napkins machine washable please. Silver/grey, or black and white, or natural, or green.
* insulated table runner or large-ish mat that's OK to put hot things on
* a pockety project bag I always have several projects on the go, different styles and sizes all welcome
* organiser things (e.g. project holder, thing for storing small supplies and bits) any size. Some ideas on pinterest, but other styles are good too.
* one of those fabric covered cord bowls
* fabric buckets/boxes any size, big or small. Short handles are useful, but not essential.
* cushion covers - no need to send the inner, just mail unstuffed for easy postage. I could really use some nice, durable cushion covers in natural linen colour, cream/undyed, or copper/rust. Standard square size is good (e.g. 40cm x 40cm) with a zipper or button closure. Maybe a couple of plain ones or one decorated one would be a medium claim?
* paint brush/art tools roll or folder/holder thing
* mug rug
* tissue box cover (standard rectangular, not square), natural linen colour, or silver/grey, or black and white would be best. Or nice greens.

YARN/FELT RELATED
* hand dyed or hand spun yarn
* if youre interested in knitting something, these are some things I want in my ravelry faves (I dont necessarily want all the other things in my ravelry faves though) ravelry wants there are some smaller things like hats and mitts in there, and a couple of crochet things too (crochet things). Some good colours for knits teal blue, dull greyish rose, chartreuse, rich or dull red (not too orange-y or dark please), blue-ish purple. I like solid colours rather than variegated yarn.

PAPER RELATED
* stationery notecards or paper, its all good (bonus points for classic Star Trek or Dr Who theme!)

OTHER CRAFTS
* airbrushed art on fabric - on a plain piece of fabric for me to make something with - dalek, retro sci-fi, robot army, trees/leaves
* handmade ceramic item, esp. in celadon green (but any colours are good) coffee mug, little bowl, something useful
* polyclay or ceramic buttons - a variety of sizes/colours/textures would be great!

VARIOUS CRAFTY POSSIBILITIES

* a Miniature Tiger Monkey. (This imaginary creature has been the subject of several conversations in my household. Apparently they move extremely fast, so fast in fact that no one has ever seen one. And they are very small.  I would really like to see what they might look like Wink)
* a Star Trek or Doctor Who thingy, whatever you like to make, my faves are Spock, tardis and daleks. (Useful rather than decorative is usually my preference, but any Spock, tardis, or dalek item that lands in my letterbox will find a home). Some ideas Tardis journal; daleks on anything; Spock stationery, journal.
* things to put other things in box, organiser, project holder, stationery folder etc. always welcome I could use some nice things for my desk at work.
* protective folder to store artwork in A4 or A3 would be great

* or a pinterest-inspired surprise

CRAFT SUPPLIES

* interesting embroidery supplies (please stick with quality over quantity, Id much rather have a tiny envelope with a few lovely skeins/little things than lots of cheap floss/beads, and it's also cheaper for postage!) The sort of stuff I like is DMC, anything silk or linen, Au Ver Soie (lurve!), Japanese stuff, bits for goldwork (purl, kid, etc.), handmade/hand dyed, quirky things. Vintage/second hand is fine.  No Aida please.
* Noro yarn (especially Taiyo, especially greens or blues/purples), other silk/luxury yarn (I have a great local source for good plain wool yarns, so while I love that too, its not worth you mailing it to me Smiley)
* nice cotton or linen fat quarters or fat eighths
* nice paper - e.g handmade, japanese, printmaking, watercolour, textured, any colour or weight - it's for art and printmaking, so plain rather than patterned is best.
* small art supplies items:-
     - pencils, markers and pens (Prismacolor/Derwent/Caran D'Ache/Posca for example, or similar artist grade things think quality rather than quantity, just a few nice things would be fab! and cheap to mail). Derwent Inktense pencils/sticks.
     - inkpads, little stencils, stamps, etc.
     - MaimeriBlu watercolours oh how I want some more of these, and no one stocks them here Sad
* thick stampcarving material
* 100% wool felt, or eco felt < Ive never seen eco felt available here (I have stacks of ordinary synthetic felt already though) in greys, blues, greens, purples, red

* plain linen or wool fabric (natural, grey, green, blue)
* crafty magazines Burda or Anna (either English or German), Vogue Knitting, Verena, or any awesome US sewing/knitting mags. (I suspect I'm getting a new Burda subscription for my birthday Wink but vintage Burda and Anna still welcome!)

EXTRAS
* I love vintage/interesting buttons, ribbons, cord etc.
* no candy (its too expensive to mail, and I really don't need it!)

NB. New Zealand has tough biosecurity at the border. This is very unlikely to apply to this swap, but just in case ... Please dont send natural materials (feathers, leaves, wood, seeds e.g. lavender, etc.) Everything on my list is absolutely fine to send, but PM me if youre unsure about something. Thanks  Smiley

I claim jo_mama!

This is claim #3...I am waiting on a yarn order so while I am waiting, I can sew! Grin

3/0/0

Due July 2

I am thinking pillowcases for the little one...and maybe a couple of other sewn things as well...

Hi, my name is Linda.  I live near Hershey, PA on a forested piece of land with my husband, three cats and an old black lab.

I love to sew and knit but have little time for art so most of the things I want are things to brighten my day and my workspace.  I joined this swap because
I enjoy the company and I also see lots of things I want to make but have no reason to make them for myself.

I am not allergic to anything, except maybe rude and mean people.

I want whomever selects me to do their own thing...I enjoy almost all styles except I am not really into cutesy, animation, etc.

My favorite colors are red, black, and earth tones: greens, blues, browns, golds. I mostly wear bright colors, but my home is more neutral and earthy.

I also prefer smaller things as I am trying to display a lot in limited space.  I have tons of wall space.

Here is my limited list.  I have a Pinterest account, but most of the stuff there are things I want to make, not receive.   I'll be working on updating a new board as the year progresses
for things I want similar...I prefer not to have anything copied as I respect the original artist and want you to develop your own style with Pinterest as inspiration only.
***********************************************

NOTECARDS -- just decorated or with "Thank you" on them---I go through a ton of these due to swapping and making gifts for family and friends...no oversized ones due to postal costs...just simple regular ones (running out...please hurry--I used up the last group I got from lindyv321!!) Cheesy

HEARTS--I have collected these from Craftsters for years...I hang them on a string in my craft room...so anything that can be clipped to a string would be great: felt, knitted, crocheted, paper

Thanks Brianna!

INCHIES - I want to do an alphabet sampler...right now, I have none, so pick a letter or two and I will scratch them off...I would like a variety of styles from different people, so no more than 3 or 4 from one person, please
I also love bugs, cats, the color red, and graphic designs...chevrons, dots, stripes, etc.

What I have so far: A, B, C, F, H, J, L, M, O, Z

ATC's--Here I want to do my full name so I need letters!  I have the following letters already "L(2)" ,"D","E", "S"...I need the following: I, E(2), B, O, L, R,  N,  A. S --any style would be great!  I REALLY WANT TO FINISH MY NAME TO DECORATE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY CRAFT ROOM!!!
-my themes are: the color red, Asian-themed, insects, sewing, vintage, circus,

Please ask me before doing this one as I need to check to see which letters I am missing!

ART FOR MY WALLS...I am trying to cover my entire craft room with wall art...hoops, watercolors, etc. Anything not too big so I can fit a lot more artists...say nothing bigger than about 8x10..I prefer smaller, if possible - no limit on the amount of art, so please keep claiming this if you are so inclined!  Grin

I really want a coral reef style hoop...I love love them!!

BOOKMARKS are always welcome in my house...

Supplies:  I would love hand spun or hand dyed yarns in a quantity large enough to at least make a cowl...preferably done by you!

charms--everyone seems to be getting these from somewhere...I can never find them...i use them for zipper pulls, so they need a hole or loop...themes: bugs, cats, elephant, birds, prefer silver or bronzey and not gold

Hand printed fabrics are always welcome

I like postcards and stuff unique to the area you live in...this could include local coffees, teas, candy

I have a limited Pinterest so feel free to ask if you see anything I might like that you want to make.

OTHER: any type of pin or brooch for my plain coats--felted, crocheted, sewn, jewelry...I just love wearing pins on everything! I also love felted small ornaments or pins.

STAMPS:  I would like any kind of hand carved stamp for my own art...it does not have to be huge. I love Dr. Who motifs or nature motifs or plain graphics

PINCUSHIONS:  I have quite a collection, but would love one that goes on my sewing machine or a cute picture frame one--my fav would be a red picture frame!

HOME DECOR:  I have made a resolution to decorate for the holidays...I have two fireplaces, so anything to decorate for the holidays would be great.
I would like Valentines stuff or Halloween stuff or even Mardi Gras--wreaths, buntings, whatever is cute and can be displayed on a mantel! St. Patricks day and 4th of July/Memorial Day would be great...Christmas anytime!

CAR SEAT ORGANIZER or Trash Bag!:  I have to have certain papers in my car at all times so I would love something hanging on the back seat to hold a file folder and a few other things like tissues, trash bags, etc.

Project bags:  what can I say...I love to knit and have several projects going at once...I would love some smaller fabric buckets, only large enough to hold a ball of yarn...with a drawstring top and a loop so I can put it on my wrist...I like knitting while standing in lines or sitting at the doctor's...

*NEW*
Coffee -related items: I would adore a coffee hoop--chemical symbol in my Pinterest...or any kind of saying, t-shirt, etc. with something coffee...coffee fabrics?

I received from kittykill and lindy321 but would love a collection.

*NEW*
Felted journal cover, needlebook, ANYTHING--can be needle felted or wet felted...I love the textures of this  craft

*NEW*
Fabric journal pages - 4x6...please make the actual page 4.5 x 6 as I plan on binding my journal...any style...I want your style!

*NEW*
Cat toys!  Crochet, felt, fabric....my cats are driving me crazy because they can't go out in this horrible snow!  I have been giving them corks to play with, but my dog chews them up to bits...so, any kind of cat toy would be fabulous!

*NEW*

Prayer flags... I love these!

*NEW*

Quilt blocks--12-1/2x12-1/2 size...I want to do a random block quilt and need about 9 of these! Grin  I would love stars, pinwheels, with white backgrounds

Thanks Brianna!

*NEW*

I sew, but there are some things I just can't seem to get around to!  Microwave bowl holders...potholder s...simple, baggylounge pants, size XL or 14...headscarves to wear on my head when I garden...

*NEW*

Fun stuff for my garden...stakes, herb markers, hanging things, birdhouses, art for a lot of outside walls...fairy garden supplies(miniature things!)

A SURPRISE!!

Thanks for claiming me!

I claim alwaysinmyroom for:  Hearts, ATCS, and a coffee hoop!

1st claim this round
0 sent
0 received

Hey there.  I live in the U.S. with my dear hubby, sweet kiddo and a young playful pug.  Allergies are in our house, but shouldnt affect anything sent to us because the allergies are mostly dust, grass, pollen, mold and other outside things.  We do have a cat allergy in the house and sinus issues though, so please no strong smoke smells.  Cat friendly homes can claim us, just please try to limit the cats contact with the items.  Anyways, my crafty skills include crocheting, knitting, embroidery and simple sewing, simple shirt stenciling/screen printing.

Likes
Themes: 1950s, Harry Potter, Pugs, Video games, Nerdy, Pirates
Colors/patterns:  black/red/white, purple/blue, tan/teal, polka dots, kawaii animals
Others:  Sock yarn, self striping yarn, reading, I love lucy, The big bang theory, handmade ceramic mugs and bowls,

Dislikes
Themes:  adult, creepy,
Colors/patterns: orange, yellow, pastel  or neon.  Old grandma floral fabrics, 70s style fabrics, batiks,
Others:  fun fur yarns, strong perfumy scents, lace & frilly things, doilies, puffy paint, glitter, fabric paint that cracks and chips.

Crafted:
If yarn is sent or things made with yarn please make sure its machine washable and dryable.  With two shedding dogs, all things must be washable to help remove their fur.
-Those fabric pot holder things that you put your bowls in for the microwave.  Would love them in blacks/reds/whites or teals/browns or burgundy/gold.
-Chamelean from the Amirugumi Knits book (in a plethora of blues)
-Angler fish from the Amigurumi Knits book (in the blue-ish purple colors like the one in the book)
-Praying mantis from the Amigurumi Knits books (in grass green and lime green colors)
-Magic yarn ball.
-Scrabble Tile Pillows that spell LOVE.  Im a little picky about these.  I had some that were painted, the paint cracked.  So I would like the Letters to be sewn on the pillows using black felt.  Just the regular machine washable and dryable felt though.  And you dont have to stuff them though, just make them like pillow cases.  The backs can be the pocket fold kind or a zipper closer.
-Jurassic Pug stenciled shirt.  Juniors medium, crew neck in perhaps a heather grey or white. https://www.etsy.com/listing/173745273/jurassic-pug-jumper?ref=sr_gallery_9&ga_search_query=pug&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
-a set of 4 star wars coasters.  Would it be possible to have them made with those absorbant ceremaic tiles?
-Set of 6 Pug coasters using pictures of my own pugs.  Would it be possible to have them made with those absorbant ceremaic tiles?  I need a set of 6 for the kitchen.
-Set of oven mitts that look like pugs.  I guess sorta like the shark style ones, but pugs instead of sharks.  Id need a black pug oven mitt and a fawn pug oven mitt.
-Weasley Blanket squares.   For 2014 I am determined to actually make a knit item for myself.  I always knit for others, but never for myself.  Anyways, with that being said, this is a big project, If you would like to help me make my very own Weasley blanket feel free to knit me a square or two or more.  Just please remember to make sure the squares are 7x7 in size, made in worsted weight yarn, and yarn must be machine washable and dryable.  I own pugs and this is necessary to help remove fur from things.  Im guessing acrylic or cotton would be best.  Oh, and nothing itchy please, Im going for soft and cozy.   Anyways, with that being said below is the link with the pattern with the squares.  https://docs.google.com/file/d/1z-P2tmU9T9qh2PvS3IFrc0sw-U7cGI6PZIgFRf_RIVpXvKk94Psb5IS-UsiQ/edit?pli=1
-fabric bins. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171981279493743477/

I claim Kittykill for a surprise! Due 7/4

Claims 4, in transit 0, Rec'd 4  (4,0,4) (as of June 26th)

HI there! I live in the USA (down South) & stay busy with my husband, sweet kiddo (very imaginative girl), a yorkie & volunteering at kiddos school and church.

I have Cystic fibrosis so I have to be cautious with my lungs and kiddo and I both have a good many allergies (smoke, dust, pollen, asbestos, mold, cinnamon, eucalyptus, cats, & guinea pigs are the main ones) *if the items are washable, its OK for us to receive from kitty and piggy homes if one just tries to limit crafty contact with their fur babies*

Although we have the allergies, we are both still very outdoorsy gals and spend much of our time together outside building fairy forts & going on nature/treasure hunts!

Things we love are: antiques, fairies (think non scary Froud more than tink), whimsical things, crosses, flowers (especially roses, honeysuckle ~she says she has seen a honeysuckle fairy in our tree, & zinnias), birds -indigo buntings, eastern blues, and all owls, Victorian, cameos, picnics, the ocean, shells, moss, ferns, butterflies, unique rocks, David Bowie (both huge labyrinth fans ah she got it honest!) and sparkly things.

My favorite colors: moss & other rich greens, rust, turquoise, yellow/goldenrod & coral

Kiddos favorite colors: pinks, teal, coral & purples

Dislikes: adult, gothic themes, blood or gore, & skulls. (Unless I am reading S.King that is!)

(Inspiration links included on some as I dont have a wist nor pinterest)

Crafted items for kiddo:

Fairy Poppet (she has wanted one for years totally believes in fairies, and my poppet skills are lacking!)

Otter Mini art quilt (she has an otter she takes EVERYWHERE, named Oddie- short for Oddomis Pottomus)

New! Otter machine? embroidery with initials beneath it patch for me to sew onto her school bag.

Otter Socks (youth size 5- she has a good sized foot!)

Patchwork twirl skirt (will send measurements if chosen)

Whimsical fairy crown (she loves sparkly, keys, flowers, celtic crosses & ferns cant really go wrong unless its a sharp object that would make it uncomfortable to wear daily) (will give head measurement if chosen)

Paris themed bibbed cooking apron

Sleeping Bag for her American Girl doll.

New! Quilting Cotton Fat Quarter Surprise bag. Kiddo is learning how to sew and she wants to begin her own little stash. She would love all fabrics as long as they don't have skulls, adult or scary themes. She loves various prints with animals, floral, batik, pretty!

New! Rainbow or Cupcake Pin Cushion! (NO PINS~ I have plenty!) for Kiddo's sewing basket

Items for us both to share:

Nature inspired tote for our fairy/treasure hunt walks. (Leaf themed or gibbous free form crochet maybe?~ She finds all kinds of things to collect while we are exploring so washable would be a plus!)

Wind chimes for our enchanted fairy tree
