I recently stumbled across a Swap Interest thread proposing the idea of a Dreamcatcher Swap.  It had been kicking around for a while, but had never gotten off the ground.  I had never tried my hand at making a Dreamcatcher, and clearly I must MAKE ALL THE CRAFTS.  So, I started by organizing the Dreamcatcher Swap, which is currently in Sign Ups.  But in the mean time I was feeling all creative and I couldn't wait the few weeks until partnering happens, so I made a practice one this weekend.  All in all, I'm pretty darn happy with how it came out.

Here's a detail shot of the drops in the center.  An amethyst for pleasant dreams and a swarovski crystal heart.  The beads in the net are 4mm fire-polished Czech glass.

Here's a detail shot of the feather drops.  The beads are stone, ceramic, Czech glass, and metal.  The blue glass leaves were sent to me in a bead swap here on Craftster, and the dark purple stones are slices of agate.

The bright turquoise looks great against the plum purple wall of my studio, but I think it might bet moved to the guest bathroom right next door, which has a turquoise, grey and purple color scheme and a rather peaceful vibe going on.

Love the twine(?) you used. Gives such an earthy look!

Of course it's amazing! Home run right off the bat.

The swap is going to rock.
